There are not so many fishing baits, they are all about eighty percent known to any angler, knowledge about them is passed on from grandfather to father, from father to son in a family of fishermen, from friend to friend in fishing companies or, as in our case, from an expert to anyone who wants to know. Let me say right away that the term “bait” is different from the term “lure”. The fundamental difference is that “bait” is used when fishing for peaceful fish species, and “bait” for catching predators. With the terminology sorted out, let’s move on.
Baits can be categorized into several types:
Animal baits
Live bait is known to all – it is a worm, oparychis, moth, brook, much less often, in exceptional situations it can be beetles, beetle larvae (for example, the larva of the May beetle), bears and the like.
Live fishing bait is a natural food for any fish. Moreover, some preferences of fish are easily explainable. For example, worm – very popular in the spring, as the melting of snow, the worm is washed out of the soil, gets into the water and the fish actively eats it. Also moth and brook moth – natural food that lives in the reservoir, fish eat it with pleasure. But there are also such baits, about which it is not clear why fish like them. Nevertheless, they are firmly embedded in the consciousness of the fisherman and without them is rare fishing. This is an oprysh, it does not live in the water, is not familiar to fish, but it loves it very much. Apparently, because of some similarity with other larvae living in the water. Such baits as the May beetle, for example, are excellent for catching chub. Here you can even call baits – exceptions, which help the float angler or donochnik to catch predatory fish – it is the meat of fish, frogfish or live malek.
Animal baits have advantages that help the angler catch. For example, the fact that they contain proteins (proteins). This is especially important when fishing in cold water when fish need nutrients. Also, animal baits are mobile and in addition to aroma and color, they stand out at the catching point with their animation (game), attracting fish by vibrations.
It must be recognized that for a beginner the most effective baits will be worm, moth and oparychis. On these baits can catch 90% of peaceful species of fish. Naturally, all these fishing tips can be obtained with your own hands or bought in the store.
Vegetable baits
Vegetable baits, as a rule, are also known to all fishermen from childhood. Namely crumbs or crust of white bread, semolina-boltushka, steamed seeds of cereal crops, of which the most popular are pearl and barley. Moreover, all of the listed by me attachments are universal. They respond equally well to bream, crucian carp, roach, carp and bleak. In different regions may be insignificant preferences of fish, so a few experiments will immediately show you the preferences of the inhabitants of your waters. I’ll give a little lifehack from myself. Bream likes perlovka, roach – barley and boltushka, crucian carp – a pinch of bread, boltushka, perlovka. Carp likes everything, but most of all adores corn. Start with this, and then you will find your catching baits for your fish.
The main beauty of vegetable baits is that they are always at hand, sold in any grocery store and easy to prepare with your own hands. A little secret for beginners, if you add a couple of aromatic drops of vanilla or anise to your baits, they will be even more attractive to fish. But this is no longer the level of a beginner, but an amateur. Therefore, at first be careful and do not overdo it with additives.
Exclusive plant attachments are not so common among anglers, but have a place. These are pastes and plates, pellets and boyles, which are made of dough with the addition of different ingredients. Usually such baits are made abroad for catching wild carp.
Artificial baits for fishing
Artificial baits are lures made of silicone, protein or other artificial materials. One of the most common baits is a foam ball.
This penny bait sometimes brings excellent results. It is used exclusively on rivers with medium and strong currents and only on bottoms. On the hook is planted foam ball, which raises the hook from the bottom at 5 cm approximately and plays on the stream. Fish, approaching the feed, which was served in the feeder, reacts to this bait and bites. Often on such a bait are caught by yazi, bream and other species.
One of the classes are artificial baits made of biodegradable protein material. As a rule, such baits are pressed on special machines in forms resembling natural bait, such as oparychis, corn, sand worm. In addition to everything, such baits should be stored in special liquids that are impregnated with flavoring. Such baits are completely harmless and when eaten by fish do not harm it. As a rule, they are planted to themselves similar, but real. For example, a bundle of oparfish can be closed or completed with artificial oparfish. Such combinations are often in demand in such directions of fishing as carpfishing and fly-fishing feeder.
That’s all a beginner needs to know about nozzles, the rest will come with experience!
