Seyahat eden olta balıkçıları için termos seçimi

Thermoses have long ago become a familiar attribute of equipment for all categories of travelers. Without this simple compact device it is difficult to imagine the unpretentious hiking life of a hunter, tourist or fisherman, especially in the cold season. In addition, thermoses are becoming more and more common in the life of those traveling by car. Long-haul truck drivers, auto-tourists and ordinary people have such things when they are going on a more or less long trip.

Such different but similar thermoses

Initially, we were accustomed to the simplest in device thermoses, having a flask for drinks made of glass. These were fragile devices that had to be carried with care. Later, with the advent of thermoses with stainless steel flasks, everything became much easier with their transportation. They were not afraid to drop them together with a backpack or bag. Structurally, conventional thermoses remained the same as their glass ancestors, that is, a flask, a threaded lid and a drinking cup screwed on top of the lid. Except that the flask itself became the supporting element of the entire structure, rather than a protective casing of plastic or metal, as was the case with the glass models. Actually, there is nothing much to tell about these so familiar and understandable devices, everyone knows and understands everything about them and just choose them at their discretion, depending on the required capacity and design. It also matters the good name of the manufacturer and sometimes the device of the lid – someone likes the usual threaded, and someone threaded with buttons for easy pouring. But all of them are united by the fact that these devices are designed for long-term preservation of the temperature of hot drinks poured into them and they all work in the same algorithm – unscrew the cup, turn the lid or press the button and pour an invigorating drink into the cup, carefully placing the thermos on a flat base and, closing the lid, drink tea, coffee or hot chocolate. That is necessarily use two hands for all these manipulations and still try and make sure that the thermos, placed on a stump, bump or uneven ground, did not fall over, spilling part of the drink.

Thermoses of the new generation

A few later, the inquisitive minds of mature travelers have created more convenient designs of thermoses, for the use of which is enough one hand, and moreover, even a separate cup is not needed. These devices are definitely worth talking about separately. The fact is that hunters and fishermen people are mostly very conservative in the masses and to many things are skeptical until properly check them in their own practice.

Thermoses, which we are talking about, sometimes called a little strange – a thermal mug or mug-thermos, in general, not quite conveying in these names the main essence of these devices. And it, as before, boils down to the same thing – keeping the temperature of drinks for a long time. The difference between these devices only in the device of their lids, otherwise it’s all the same thermos, only much more convenient to use.

The difference between thermal mugs in the design of lids

Strange as it may seem, but up to now many of my acquaintances have not managed to get themselves the most convenient thermoses, continuing in the old-fashioned way to wield at the camp with both hands, pouring drinks and from time to time spilling precious liquids in the campaign, knocking over carelessly his thermos of the old type with an unclosed cork. With new type thermoses (thermo mugs) everything is much more pleasant at any camping site. You just take them with one hand, click the lock and drink directly from their special neck, holding a sandwich in the other hand, and nothing will spill from the overturned thermos, because it is not necessary to put it anywhere in the parking lot.

With such thermoses it is much more convenient at the camping site

In addition to hot drinks in the cold season from the same thermoses (thermos mugs) in the summer heat is nice to drink and cold drink, quenching thirst. And also these devices are ideal for traveling behind the wheel of a car, where, being installed at hand, allow at any time to quench thirst with a cold or warm drink, involving only one hand for all manipulations with opening, drinking and closing the lid, which is much more convenient than any bottle.

Differences in such thermoses are mainly reduced to the device of locking their hinged lids and the shape of the throats for drinking. On the example of the most famous Japanese brands Zojirushi and Tiger, the principles of operation of these devices will be best understood. I have long preferred the thermoses of these manufacturers to all others, because the level of quality of materials, reliability of design and durability of few things can compare with the products of these brands. On the photo you can see the differences in the design of their locks on the lids, as well as understand that the meaning and principle of their work is reduced to the same thing – reliable and at the same time fast opening and closing of the lids by pressing the thumb of the hand. To be more exact double pressing, first the safety latch is moved, then the same finger presses the lock key and the lid is hinged under the action of the built-in spring. Everything is then closed in the reverse order. The process is simple and quick. On the photo Zojirushi and Tiger.

Universal thermoses

For those fidgeters who practice versatile fishing, hunting or any other camping life, who need a thermos in the winter cold, and in the summer heat, and in the off-season there are universal thermoses on sale. These are such devices, which, as they say, everything is included. The set of such models includes not one lid, but two at once, for different tasks, which maximizes the possibilities of using the thermos at different times of the year. One of the most, in my opinion, successful examples of universal thermos is Tiger MBO, this model is available in several modifications of different liters. I have such a Tiger with a volume of 0.8 liters, model Tiger MBO-E080. On its example I will tell more about what these devices are.

So, this variant is equipped with two different lids. Why is it necessary and what is the benefit of such a set? Everything is quite simple – one lid is a standard variant, familiar to all of us in conventional thermoses, that is, it is a lid with a built-in button for safe pouring of hot drinks into a cup, which is standardly screwed on top of the lid during transportation. So this is a typical thermos for fishing or hunting in the winter cold, when you take with you exclusively hot drinks or just boiling water for brewing. But there is a second lid in the set, but it is more for warm drinks in early fall and spring, or for cold drinks in summer. Here everything is different, a hinged lid with a lock and a neck for easy drinking from the neck, all as in a thermal mug.

Some models come with an additional cup

And also thermoses Tiger MBO are completed with covers of three different colors. Cases in Japanese are very high quality, made of dense synthetic fabric, with reinforced plastic bottom and zippers. For carrying outside of a backpack or bag, the case is completed with a sling strap. In general, this variant solves all possible tasks, which only can be demanded from a thermos for drinks.

Actually, we can wrap it up here. What kind of thermoses one likes is a matter of taste and preferences of everyone, but for practical reasons I would dare to suggest to many people to reconsider their views on the usual models and try something from what I have told about here. Very, you know, useful and practical devices.
